Ria White of White HR Solutions updated delegates on the recent trends in varying terms and conditions of employment as well as outlining lessons from recent case law. She also briefed them on the types of strategies they could consider in implementing cost savings and sustaining their businesses. Some of the elements of good HR practice in amending terms and conditions of employment highlighted by Ria included clear communication and employee involvement.
Brendan Twohig, Taxation Director with MK Brazil gave a presentation on tax efficient remuneration, achieving tax based cash flow improvements and common difficulties in redundancy situations.
A number of Chamber HR Club events are planned for 2010 in order to keep businesses up to date with the latest employment legislation and human resource management practices. It is also a forum for HR and people managers to share information on best practice HR policies and procedures.
