Waterford Chamber Skillnet focuses on the critical skills required to improve the performance of member companies. The aim of the network is to identify common training needs, deliver training locally using the highest caliber trainers, dramatically reduce training costs through collaboration and attract grant aid from the National Training Fund through Skillnet Limited.

Waterford Chamber Skillnet is delighted to announce that we are running a new phase of the E-Learning Minor Award in Business and Manufacturing. This is a level 6 FETAC certificate, which consists of 5 modules, leading to a total of 40 credits on the National Framework of Qualifications.

The Certificate is aimed primarily at operations and supervisory staff in the manufacturing plant. It is devised to suit a variety of industries including Pharma, medical devices, high volume manufacturing and food based manufacturing.

Waterford Chamber hosted its first in a series of expert briefings on HR and employment law issues for 2010 at the Woodlands Hotel last Thursday, 25th February. All safe pass courses every Saturday will take place from 8am – 5pm at the City Enterprise Centre, Waterford Business Park, Cork Road, Waterford. Group bookings and in-house training is also available. Cost per person is €130 per person and payment must be made in advance.
