Waterford City Enterprise Board Ltd., was established in October 1993 by the then Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. The key objectives set for the Enterprise Board were to influence the employment / jobs opportunities within the city of Waterford by:
Developing an Enterprise Action Plan
The creation of local enterprise awareness and thus developing an enterprise culture
Providing financial assistance to individuals and local community groups to assist commercially viable small enterprise projects
Influencing the allocation of resources for small enterprises from EU, private and public funding sources.
We assist small businesses that are based in Waterford City, where employment does not exceed 10 full time employees. The Board assists both start-up and business expansion projects through a strategic approach which integrates a range of clinics, programmes, enterprise development assistance and financial assistance.
