The Network offers support and advice to two-and-a-half million European small businesses, helping them to make the most of business opportunities beyond national and even EU borders. “There are huge opportunities in EU candidate and neighbourhood countries, emerging markets and large trading partners like China,” says Martine Diss, Head of Unit, Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, which manages the operational activities of the Network.

The South-East Enterprise Europe Network has welcomed a recent announcement that Bank of Scotland (Ireland) has partnered with the EIB to provide €100m funding support for SMEs. Bank of Scotland (Ireland) has agreed €50m of funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to provide funding support for SMEs. Bank of Scotland (Ireland) will match that in additional lending to form a €100m Business Investment Fund. |
