Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, is undergoing a transformation which will firmly establish it as a destination on the tourism map. The new attractors driving tourism in the city include the recent opening of the House of Waterford Crystal and the €10 million plus Viking Triangle due for completion in 2012. The exciting new developments, including the return of the Tall Ships this year, coupled with an energised collaboration between major public and private sector stakeholders, under the umbrella ‘Destination Waterford’, are set to drive the city’s tourism resurgence.
