ArcLabs is the base for WIT’s Centre for Entrepreneurship which promotes, supports and develops entrepreneurship programmes and research. The Centre delivers the South East Enterprise Platform Programme (SEEPP) which supports entrepreneurs involved in knowledge-based start-ups.
One of Ireland's largest and most successful Information Communications Technology research centres, TSSG is headquartered in ArcLabs. The TSSG employs over 150 highly skilled researchers and developers and has attracted over €55 million in research programmes since its inception in 1996, funding over 115 research projects and awards.
This event will be a chance to look around the ArcLabs Research and Innovation Centre based on WIT's West Campus, Carriganore. It will be a good introduction to the more commercial aspects of WIT and associated organisations, as well as an excellent opportunity for business networking. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be also be served.
Tom Corcoran, Centre Manager, will be on hand to answer any questions. Eugene Crehan will be introducing the SEEPP (South Eastern Enterprise Platform Programme - www.seepp.ie) as well as a short presentation from one of this year’s SEEPP participants, Darach Cawley of bundlebee.ie. A representative of the TSSG (www.tssg.org) team will be revealing exciting plans for building on the West Campus and developments in the Research and Innovation Village.
