Waterford Chamber is the voice of Waterford Business - when we talk, they listen. Waterford Chamber lobbies on behalf of its members on a local, regional and national level to address and achieve Waterford's business goals. The highest priority currently is the upgrading of WIT to a University of the South East.
In September 2005, Waterford Chamber commissioned Goodbody Economic Consultants to prepare a report on the Economic Impact of a University of the South East. The report, which recommends that the Waterford Institute of Technology be given full university status, has found the move would generate €96.7 million euro annually for the economy of the South East.
