Chamber hosts event in Dublin for over 100 “Ambassadors” PDF Print E-mail

On Thursday December 6th, Waterford Chamber will host an informal drinks evening at “The Ballsbrige Inn”, Dublin for over 100 Waterford people presently based in Dublin. “We keep in regular contact with this group of Waterfordians whom we affectionately call our “Ambassadors”. They keep us informed of potential opportunities that arise for Waterford and in turn we keep them up to date on progress and happenings in Waterford” explained Chamber President Andrew O’Neill. The Chamber delegation will be joined by Waterford’s first citizen, Mayor Mary O’Halloran and newly appointed City Manager Michael Walsh who together with Minister Martin Cullen will speak to attendees about current developments and future plans for Waterford City.

The event will also provide an opportunity for Waterford-born entrepreneurs and business people that are now Dublin based, to meet with fellow Waterfordians and discuss current activities and potential opportunities for and in Waterford City.

Key topics for discussion on the evening will include “Project 2014”, the recently launched vision by Waterford City Council and the status of Waterford Institute of Technology application to be upgraded to University.

Waterford Chamber CEO Monica Leech stated “Waterford is at a very exciting stage of its development and we look forward to meeting our Ambassadors and equipping them with the information they need to represent Waterford and help drive its progress. We have recently launched an on-line tool called BusinessVillage.ie which will allow 24/7 communications between the Ambassadors, Chamber and other Waterford business people”.
