More than 790 of the 1,000 Tech Check slots available for 2007 have already been booked and two of the County Enterprise Boards (CEB), who run the Government backed scheme, say their allocations under the scheme are already full while another five CEBs are finalising their tallies but believe that demand will also exceed their allocations. Both Fingal and Wicklow CEBs say that demand has far exceeded their allocation for this year. The heavily subsidised Tech Check scheme gives a business a full independent report on a company’s technology needs for just €150.
Seven of the CEB regions have been 'sold out' but Waterford still has some allocations remaining. Businesses in Waterford are encouraged to take advantage of the remaining allocations and can do so by contacting the Waterford City Enterprise Board at 051 852883.
The programme is open to all small businesses in all sectors of commercial activity. Further info about the initiative is available at www.techcheck.ie
