Welcome to the Theatre Royal's new website. We are starting anew with our building, so we decided to do the same with our online web presence. This site will give you the news of our restoration work, some background information, and the daily events that are happening or upcoming to the Theatre Royal.
The Theatre Royal, one of the oldest performing arts venues in Ireland, is currently closed for a major capital development programme financed by the Department of Arts Sport and Tourism through the ACCESS II scheme and Waterford City Council.
Ken Wigham Architects in association with the London based ArtsTeam have been engaged to oversee these works and tender documentation is currently being prepared with a view to appointing contractors and beginning work before the end of this calendar year.
