Wake up call for employers!
“The Government has promised Legislation to set up a new Statutory Body to police and protect employee’s rights. To be called Office of the Director of Employment Rights Compliance (ODERC), it will be increasing the number of Labour Inspectors from 31 to 90, employing them on a regional basis together with additional specialist Legal Accounting and Administrative staff. These are among a range of new measures proposed for the Employment Rights Compliance Bill presently in preparation and promised by the end of 2007.”
