Based in, on and around the beautiful building that is Waterford Courthouse, in the Peoples Park, Avanti Display present “Hydromania!”, a site specific show employing large scale water effects to create a spectacular performance It’s a fabulous celebration of water, a spectacle designed to animate a public space, with the lyrical beauty of interplay between water and light, combined with physical performance and music.
Hydromania! is a show that has toured worldwide, including Singapore, Croatia and Australia. Most recently it was produced in Liverpool for the 2008 Capital of Culture Celebrations.
This production could not have been staged without the active support and sponsorship of the Waterford Solicitors Group, and the Spraoi Festival salutes the public spirit of a profession that has such close links with the Courthouse. The Festival is also indebted to the staff and management of the Court Service for facilitating the use of the building and grounds.
