For one night only, the Gate Theatre's seminal production of Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett comes to Waterford as part of its 80th anniversary nationwide tour. Starring Stephen Brennan as Lucky, Barry McGovern as Vladimir, Johnny Murphy as Estragon and Alan Stanford as Pozzo, and directed by Walter Asmus, the Irish Times said “The Gate production is definitive, not just in Irish but in global terms. It is probably the closest we will ever get to the perfect official Godot... genius is the only word and explanation for it”.
