Red Kettle Theatre Company premiered Jimmy Murphy’s Kings of the Kilburn High Road in Garter Lane Theatre in June 2000. It follows the fortunes of six young men from the West of Ireland who go to England in the 1970s to make their fortunes.
The play has been given the big screen treatment courtesy of Derry born Tom Collins. Nominated as Ireland’s entry for the Foreign Language Oscar the film stars Colm Meany and Waterford regulars Donal O’Kelly and Brendan Conroy.
